Instructions for use: 1. Adjust your arms so that they are at heart level. If the height is not enough, put soft cushions under the arms. 2. Position the cuff so that its central part faces the brachial artery. The lower edge of the cuff extends 2 to 3 cm above the ulnar fossa and attaches to the upper arm without being too tight or too loose. 3. With the stethoscope in place, place your head over the brachial artery, above the elbow joint, facing the body where the artery normally passes. 4. Use a latex ball to slowly inflate the cuff while watching it carefully. When the pulsation of the brachial artery disappears, increase the pressure to 2.5 to 4 kPa (20 to 30 mmHg) and stop inflating. Start releasing air from the cuff until the gauge arrow drops 2 to 3 marks per second. 5. The pressure value indicated by the needle when hearing the first pulse sound through the stethoscope during the descent process is systolic blood pressure. 6. When the pulsating sound gradually increases and becomes noise, the sound suddenly becomes dull and gradually disappears. If no sound is heard, this is diastolic pressure.
