This device can be used by minors, aged 8 and over, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ability; or who have lack of experience and knowledge; provided that they are supervised or have received appropriate instructions for safe use and that they understand the risks involved. Minors should not play with the appliance. Minors should not perform cleaning or maintenance of the appliance unless supervised. SmartCare Center: Place the cleaning station on a flat surface to prevent the cleaning fluid from spilling. When the cleaning cartridge is installed, the cleaning station should not be tilted, sharply moved or transported, as the liquid in the cartridge may spill. The cleaning station should not be placed in mirror cabinets, polished or slippery surfaces. The cleaning cartridge contains a highly flammable liquid, so keep away from sources of ignition. It should not be exposed directly to sunlight or cigarette smoke, or stored on a radiator. Keep cleaning fluid away from eyes. The cartridge should not be refilled and only Braun refill cartridges should be used. Before using the cleaning station, the shaver must be dry and should not contain foam, gel or soap residue. The cleaning cartridge contains ethanol or isopropanol (see specifications therein) which, once opened, will slowly evaporate naturally. Therefore, each cartridge, if not used daily, should be replaced approximately every 8 weeks. The used cartridge can be disposed of in household waste or through existing hazardous waste programs in your municipality. Be sure to close the openings with the cover of the new cartridge, as the used cartridge will contain dirty cleaning fluid. Only use Braun type 492 power supplies. Do not use the appliance, or any accessories, if damaged. Do not open the appliance. Built-in rechargeable batteries can only be replaced at an authorized Braun Technical Service.
